FAQ

Do you offer kosher-style menu options?

Yes. We can create a kosher-style menu that omits pork and shellfish while also keeping meat and dairy separated on the buffet line. However, because we are not a certified kosher kitchen, families requiring fully certified kosher catering may choose to work with one of our recommended partner caterers. That said, for most bar and bat mitzvah luncheons hosted in our space, the kosher-style approach is the option families typically prefer.

Can the kids and adults have separate bar setups?

Yes, and in fact, this is one of our most popular event additions. We offer a mocktail and Italian soda bar for guests under 21, complete with house-made syrups, sparkling waters, and fun garnishes to create a full bar-style experience. Meanwhile, adult guests can enjoy our full bar featuring craft beer, wine, and cocktails. Depending on your event layout, the two stations can either be separated or arranged side-by-side.

Is there room for a DJ and dance floor?

Yes. Both our private back room and full buyout setups include space for a DJ and open dance floor. Additionally, power and lighting are already in place, while DJs may bring their own sound equipment and lighting effects based on the event setup. We’re also happy to recommend DJs we’ve worked with for previous mitzvah celebrations.

What’s the typical timeline for a Saturday luncheon?

Most after-services luncheons typically run from noon to 4 p.m., with guests arriving around 12:30 for buffet or family-style dining, followed by speeches, candle-lighting ceremonies, and dancing throughout the afternoon. Meanwhile, evening receptions are commonly held from 6 to 10 p.m. or 7 to 11 p.m. Additionally, we provide access to the space one hour before the guest’s arrival for setup and decorating.

How far in advance should we book a mitzvah?

Most families book six to twelve months in advance, especially for busy spring and fall Saturdays. If your celebration is tied to a specific Torah portion, we recommend booking as early as possible. However, smaller luncheons may occasionally be accommodated within a shorter timeframe, while evening receptions and full buyouts tend to be reserved first.
